Every 18 seconds, a child somewhere in the world is diagnosed with cancer. Almost 2,000 children die of childhood cancers annually in the US. Survivors of childhood cancer experience life long adverse effects, including cancer, organ failure, and emotional trauma from the disease and its treatments. KOASTRONG Childhood Cancer Prevention Organization is focused on inspiring research, advocacy and policy for the primary prevention of childhood cancers. Your donation will fund research, implement a framework for screenings and provide health equity for children. Children deserve to be protected from childhood cancers.
In 2024, KOASTRONG will fund the Baylor College of Medicine research work on environmental exposure links to childhood cancers. Your donation directly supports this project and its future prevention strategies and clinical screenings.
